Now, on to 100 ways to make money online or offline!
1. Selling advertisements on you car
An easy side hustle is selling advertisements on your car. This entails taking out ads on your car and driving around town. You can also sell advertisements online if you don’t want to drive with them constantly, but it’s important that these spots be visible from the front or back of a moving vehicle. For more information, check out my in-depth article on how to make money be selling advertisements on your car.
2. Invest in bitcoin
Tons of people have made money investing in bitcoin. To get started, you need to be willing and able (i.e., have the money) to invest in Bitcoin, which you can buy from exchanges like Coinbase. You could also start by linking your bank account to services like CoinBits, which will “round up” your purchases into bitcoin. I talk more about this in my article, “how to make money by investing in bitcoin.”
3. Learn to flip products for cash
Flipping items for cash means that you buy items from stores, then sell them for a higher price on the secondhand market. You can flip anything that is in demand and sells well – clothes or furniture are popular choices (especially if they’re new with tags). I talk more about this topic on the post “how to make money flipping products.”
4. Set up a Dropshipping Store
Dropshipping is when you set up a store and sell items without having to buy them first. The way it works is that you first identify what products people are searching for on the internet, and then find a supplier that sells it. Dropshipping is an inexpensive way to start your own online business without having any inventory of items sitting in storage or needing lots upfront investments – you just sell them when someone decides they want one!
5. Do affiliate marketing
If you have a website or a social media following, affiliate marketing is good for making money in 2021. Affiliate marketing is when you have a link to another site and you get paid if someone buys another company’s products through your affiliate links. On Instagram, for example, I can make money by posting photos of clothes or shoes that are linked with an “affiliate code” in the caption (usually this is just their website’s name followed up one hashtag). If somebody clicks on my post from IG and buys the product, I get a commission.
6. Print on demand
If you are creative, print on demand (not to be confused with 3D-printing) can be a fun opportunity to make money from home. Print on demand is when you have your designs made into physical products and sell them. You can make these items on demand by uploading the digital file to various websites. For more information, read my in-depth article on making money with print on demand.
7. YouTube

Starting a YouTube channel is easy but building it can be a little more difficult. However, if you are consistent, YouTube can be a fun “make money from home” opportunity.

If you have some knowledge that you can share with others, creating an online course is a great way to make money online in 2021. To get started, you’ll want to write an outline that includes all of the topics you plan on covering.

9. Publish and sell an ebook
A ton of people are making money by writing and selling ebooks. Whether this is a niche-specific guide or an informational book, there’s no denying the value that ebooks have in society today. If you’re interested to get started with writing your ebook content but aren’t sure where exactly how it should be formatted and structured for sale on Amazon Kindle (or other online distribution channels), I’ll have an article up on Dollars and Cents soon about what to do. If you want to learn how to make money publishing low content books, read my article on the topic.

There are lots of opinions about becoming a blogger. Starting a blog is easy. Being consistent enough to turn it into something that makes money is the hard part. However, if you’re patient and consistent, you can make a living from blogging with a single site or more. Start by writing your first blog post and publishing it to the web Pick an area of interest that you have expertise in or something intriguing for people who are looking online – such as travel blogs with tips about where they should go next! If you want an easy and inexpensive way to get started, start with Bluehost.
11. Create an app

Contrary to popular belief, you don’t need to know how to code to build an app. Last year I used free software to build a podcast app for a podcaster. I sold it to him for $25 (and that was cheap) and he was super excited. The app building software I used was located at a site called Glideapps but the AppSheet site is also a great option you can use. These are easy to use because all you need to do is log in with your email address.
12. Become a freelance writer
Writers are needed now more than ever. If you can organize your thoughts, an article, or a blog post then you can start freelance writing. If you want to speed up your writing with artificial intelligence, you should check out Jarvis at Conversion.ai.
13. Do online surveys
I thought this was a scam the first time I heard about this. However, online survey sites are a legitimate way to make some extra cash. To get started, I recommend you check out Prolific.co as this one seems to be the most reputable survey site groups I’ve found. There are always surveys available and they pay a decent amount. In about two weeks of using them, I’ve made about $60. There are other survey sites but some of them don’t pay very well or only offer a gift card as payment.

If you speak a second language, consider becoming a translator. Translators are needed now more than ever. 16. Deliver food
Delivering food is one of the most popular ways to make extra money in 2021. The reason it’s so popular is because food delivery apps are exploding and people need the food. For this to be successful, you’ll have a car or bike for deliveries. To get started, check out the food delivery apps Just Eat, Grub Hub, or Door Dash.
17. Start your taxi service

Speaking of delivering food, another idea to make money is by delivering packages. Three businesses that a lot of people drive for are Lyft, Uber and Sidecar. 18. Become a virtual assistant
Virtual assistants, or VAs, are exploding. People are looking for VAs to help them with all sorts of work, such as editing photos, writing blog posts and articles or running a website. You can make money by being an affiliate partner with certain brands and gaming companies as well. Twitch is a great platform to get started. Here’s how.
20. Invest in stocks
This is one of my favorite ways to make money online in 2021. With easy-to-use apps like Robinhood, you can invest in stocks on your phone and make money without actively doing anything. To get started, all you have to do is sign up for a free account and buy some stocks. And just for signing up on the app or website, you get a free stock!
21. Trade options

Another of my favorite ways to make money is by selling my video footage. I love to shoot drone videos. It’s even more fun because people will pay me for it! This is something that not many people know about. However, if you can get a position like this, you can easily earn a steady (albeit small) amount of money every single week. The funny thing about this is that TikTok wasn’t even a thing just a few years ago. Now, you can make money by becoming a consultant! Once you prove to them that you know what you’re doing to help them build their fan base, they’ll be more willing to hire you to help them get more views. And once you establish that client base, it’ll be much easier to increase your earnings with more business.
27. Trade in your electronics
I didn’t know this was possible until I was trying to get rid of an old iPhone 4s that I had. If you have old electronics lying around, there are businesses out there that will buy them from you and send you cash. Some of these website options include Gazelle and NextWorth.
28. Set up a dog walking business

Depending on where you live, dog walking can be a huge business opportunity. People are willing to pay others to walk their pets because it’s not always easy to find the time or money. You could advertise on social media or through your own blog.

32. Sell secondhand books
I’ve made about $50 over the past month just selling old books that I find at thrift shops and consignment stores. To get started, I’d recommend that you use the app, SellBackYourBook. All you have to do is scan the ISBN, see if it’s selling for more than what you can buy the book for, and then sell it. It’s really an easy way to make a few extra dollars.
33. Babysitting

If you are good with children and have solid references, babysitting can be a pretty good gig. You need to make sure that you have a reliable car, especially if you are going to be driving kids around.
34. Peer-to-peer lending
Peer-to-peer lending is kind of a new idea and it is when you loan a small amount of money to someone in need, usually through an online platform. You can make about $25 on average just by loaning out your spare cash and it’s easy as pie! Another way that you could do this is lending with LendingClub or Prosper but the minimum investment might be more than what most can afford.
35. Market research

You will need some certification from an accredited organization before being able work with clients at a location like this.
40. Home organizer
Did you know that there are people that will pay you to come and organize their home? If you are good at finding ways to organize and recycle items (and have an entrepreneur mindset) then this might be a great match for your skills. There is also the added benefit of getting paid while cleaning which can feel really satisfying! And it’s a great service as well!
41. Give plasma
There is no skill involved in giving plasma. If you have the right veins, you can walk in and donate. For some this is a great way to get the extra cash they need as it averages about $30 for each time you go in to give plasma, which only takes an hour of your day! You will have less energy if giving blood on top of donating platelets or red cells but many people are comfortable with it.
42. Put up Christmas lights

Putting up Christmas lights during the holidays is big business. Not only can you get paid by putting up and taking Christmas lights for individuals, many businesses and local governments are willing to pay you to do it for them. In fact, I know someone that only works during the holidays doing this and makes enough to not have to work the rest of the year! These are the kinds of success stories I love 🙂
43. Participate in medical studies
Doctors and researchers need to know how effective their treatments are. That’s where you can come in. If you’re willing to submit to their treatments, you can get paid to participate in medical studies. The downside is that these clinical trials are usually only for a few weeks at the most and you’ll have no idea what they’re testing or how it will affect your health, but many people see this as an opportunity more than anything else because of all their potential benefits like getting reimbursed up-front.
44. Wash or detail cars
This is more popular than you might think. Many people don’t have the time or energy to wash their cars on the weekends and would rather pay someone to come to their place of employment and detail their car while they’re working. All you need is some car-cleaning equipment and you can get started right away.
45. Lead local tours
If you live in a place that gets a lot of tourists, you should think about doing tours for out-of-town guests. You could set up group tours where each tourist pays you $40 to go on a half-day tour of the city. If you have five people sign up, that’s an easy $200 for just half a day’s work. Look at Viator for examples of people doing this all over the world. You could link your profile to your own blog showing the services that you offer
46. Become a transcriber
Transcribers work with video or audio recordings, taking them word for word, and typing the content. It’s a great way to make money online because you’ll earn as much as there is work available. It could be an hour one day then five hours another time of month depending upon what people need transcribed at any given moment. You can either work for yourself or for one of the many online transcription businesses. Here’s an article I wrote on making money as a transcriber.

51. Become a social media influencer
My parents don’t think this is a “real job” but trying saying that to the people earning thousands of dollars a month doing just this! It works best if you already have a significant following on one (or more) of these platforms. With this idea you don’t even need to have your own blog.
52. Rent out garage space
Instead of renting out your spare room for someone to live, rent out your extra garage space for people to use to store their extra stuff. 56. Start a clothing line
In the past two days, I’ve purchased t-shirts from two different ads. Selling clothing is a great way to make money online in 2021 because there is a high demand for it. For example, if you’re an experienced seamstress and know how to sew clothing then starting your own company or store might be the right choice! It may not seem like much at first but as long things are done properly business will only grow from there on out. If you’d rather not sew the items yourself, you can have someone else do that part for you.
57. Get money back by shopping online
Did you know that there are sites that will pay you to shop online? One of the best ones that I know (and it’s what I use), is Rakuten Cash Back. In just about a month’s time, I’ve already earned about $35 by buying stuff that I was already going to purchase anyway!
58. Be a travel planner

It used to be that you had to have connections in order to be a travel planner. Now you can do it from the comfort of your living room. To be a travel planner, all you need is to be well-versed in travel destination, know the best places for tourists, and have a knack at organization.
59. Online jury duty
If you have some extra time on your hands and want to make an extra few dollars, consider becoming an online juror. This way to make money isn’t the easiest, but if it’s something that you enjoy, you will always be in demand. If you can provide a good place for kids, you’ll never run out of clients.
62. Baker
If you love spending time in the kitchen (cooking, not eating ;), then selling your baked goods to events is a great way to make money. 63. Open a bank account
This isn’t for everyone but if you’ve got the patience, you can make money online by opening bank accounts or credit cards. Not all software developers go to a 9-5 job at some business. If you’re good, you can do your own freelance tech consulting on the side as one of the ways to make money online. The way to get started is by networking with local small businesses and potentially developing a partnership. One of the jobs you might focus on is testing site functionality for organizations’ online presence.
67. Guest post
If you know how to write, you can make money by guest posting on other people’s websites. Most website owners don’t have the time to write all their content themselves. That’s where you can come in and save the day. The bottom line is that you simply write articles for them on topics you’re assigned and get paid.
68. Start a Facebook group
If you are passionate about something, and you think other people might be as well, starting a Facebook group can lead to some lucrative financial opportunities. If you’re creative and know your way around Photoshop, Illustrator, and other graphic design software like InDesign or SketchUp then you can make a decent living running a business as an online designer. Freelance sites are the best place to look for gigs but there’s also many websites that will pay by project. Make sure that you have some samples to show potential clients. This is great for college students that have some training in graphic design and want to get started making some money.
73. Start a Shopify store
Everything seems to be going digital these days but there is still a market for physical goods. And Amazon isn’t the only way to sell stuff. Find something that you believe in, get a sample made, and start selling it to people who are in your niche. EnVoyage Bags is a company that does this well. They sell high-end men’s leather toiletry kits. They found a segment of the population that is interested in this and appeal to them.
74. Copywriting
If you’re good with words, becoming a copywriter is something that you definitely should check out. What’s more, there are now artificial intelligence tools out there that can even help you to write better and faster. One tool that I highly recommend is Jarvis by Conversion.ai. As a video editor, you’ll do a little bit of everything. You’ll need to be in charge or production, editing and post-production as well video encoding for different platforms like YouTube. Do you have an extra car sitting around not being used? If so, check out companies like Turo, who will take the hassle out of renting your car for you. What’s great is that this all happens online and these companies make it super easy and convenient for you so that you don’t have to worry about too much.

80. Restore sneakers

Earlier I mentioned a Facebook group with over 30,000 members who are all interested in restoring sneakers. 81. Rent out your stuff
Most people know about renting out their homes or their cars, but did you know that you can also rent out your stuff and get paid for it? Some of these services will pick up your stuff from you for free while others might charge a small fee to cover the cost. Either way, if you’ve got stuff laying around that you’re not using, you might as well put it to good use and get paid for it.
82. Start an email newsletter
Lately, a lot of the writers that I follow online have started their own email newsletters. Some are free, some cost money, and some are a combination of the two. If you’ve got something to share with others, this might be a good way to do it. A friend of mine started a newsletter for translators looking for translation jobs. He’s using Substack and loves it so far.
83. Become an online nurse

84. Sell your lesson plans
If you’re a teacher that’s good at producing lesson plans (or if you’ve got a few in your stack), Teachers Pay Teachers is a website that connects teachers looking for lesson plans with those teachers that have lesson plans to sell. This is a more passive income stream than offering tutoring services.
85. Twitter
I know a lot of people that make a significant income just through their Twitter profiles. They sell their services or their digital products to people interested in learning what they know. The great thing about this is that you don’t have to have a huge following in order to do it. You just need to have a core audience and the ability to solve a problem that your audience has. You’ll need your email address or phone number to sign up.
86. Make memes
Are you a meme maker? Did you know that you can make money from making memes? Yeah, that’s right. Picturepunches.com will literally pay you money for making memes. What easier way is there to make money online in 2021 than making memes?
87. Edit podcasts
Just like editors for YouTube videos, there is a need for podcast editors. You’ll also be making sure there’s good transitions between topics in a podcast so it flows well for listeners
88. Sell music

This can be a tough gig to get into, but there are still lots of opportunities to make money by selling your music. To get started, you’ll need to upload your music onto services such as iTunes, Bandcamp, or Spotify. Once you’ve done this and set a price for it (usually $0), people can start downloading the song
You could also try selling CDs at gigs if there’s demand from fans of yours who like physical copies with liner notes.

With more and more companies going remote, there are more opportunities to earn money from home. If you’re good at something, you can become an online coach and teach people how to do something. This can be business related — how to find clients, manage customers, improve sales — or can be related to actual sports. Find your niche and go for it. An advertisement I saw the other day was an online coach to help you improve your credit score.
96. Rent out your parking spot

If you have a driveway or garage in a densely populated city, consider renting it to other people.
